I have severe GERD and must sleep on a bed elevated on risers, so I bought this product to use when I travel. It works! I inflate it about 2/3 of the way and am very comfortable sleeping on it, because it isn't hard and stiff like the foam wedges are. It gets 4 stars, because it does deflate a wee bit during the night and I'm concerned about further leaks. OTOH, I haven't yet found sign of overt leaking. The pillow successfully raises the upper body (can use the pump to raise and lower) but it is somewhat too long from the front of the wedge to the top and rather narrow side to side to be as effective as it might. A shorter wedge and wider pillow would be more useful. It is also rather bouncy for a disabled person to deal with but by deflating about 1/3 of the way it was serviceable.Both the pillow itself and the cover are VERY heavy when folded up. We only used the pillow for one overnight stay, so I cannot advise as to its durability or how many times it will stand inflation/deflation or washing the cover. It is quite difficult to remove the cover for washing (which is advisable if you are going to use it in bed, especially for anyone with medical disabilities; also there is a strong vinyl or plastic-y smell.)
